Legibility Program Sample

This sample of the Schoodles Legibility Program Membership includes two of the eleven lessons and consists of a video, practice pages and tips, and a sample of the guide.

The  Schoodles Legibility Program helps students gain skills to improve handwriting legibility using an evidence-based, top-down cognitive approach. The program is designed to be taught by occupational therapists, teachers, and parents.
The entire program includes:
• A 40-page legibility guide with evidence-based intervention strategies and guidance for students with ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, developmental coordination disorder, fetal alcohol syndrome, and a history of prematurity. It provides details for a top-down approach with a strengths-based focus. Applying the CO-OP method to handwriting legibility is also discussed in this guide.
• 11 Chapters and bonus materials covering letter and number legibility concepts. Each lesson includes:
o A Video: Each lesson has a video chapter in the story Handwriting Secrets – Lost at Sea. Students follow Captain Penguino on his epic journey as handwriting secrets are slowly revealed. The videos are included on the membership page for easy access and viewing.
o Discussion Guide and Chapter Tips: To reinforce learning and retention, each lesson includes discussion questions designed to bring awareness to legibility concepts and analyze current handwriting. Chapter tips are included to help implement the program.
o Practice Pages: Each chapter included downloadable/printable activities. The practice pages are presented in two levels for students in 2nd grade through high school. This program includes over 50 activities, and games.
